Since 2009, Girls on the Run has grown from an organization that served 24 girls in 2 schools in Baton Rouge. Today, the organization is located in 18 parishes and serves girls at over 70 schools. It hosts two annual 5K events in Baton Rouge and Acadiana.

Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra
The Irene W. and C.B. Pennington Foundation is proud to sponsor the yearly Pennington Great Performers in Concert Series with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. The series brings top acts, such as CHICAGO, Kristin Chenoweth, Lang Lang, and Diana Ross to Baton Rouge.
National WWII Museum
The Pennington Family Foundation supports the National WWII Museum in their capital expansion. The Foundation understands the importance of this institution in keeping the memory of the Second World War alive.

SOC 2014 will be the 3rd Biennial Conference of the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL), and will be attended by 900 scientists, land owners/managers, federal and state agency personnel, local officials, industry and business leaders, resource users, and interested citizens from all over the world.
The Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation's new location, The Emerge Center for Communication, Behavior, and Development, will hold its ribbon-cutting and opening on April 04, 2014 at 7784 Innovation Park Drive.
